Infrastructure Delivery Plan update
Overview
Alongside the consultation on the Main Modifications to the Local Plan, the Council is also publishing an update to the Infrastructure Delivery Plan (IDP).
The draft South Tyneside Local Plan 2023-2040 sets out the policies and allocations to meet the Borough’s development needs to 2040. The IDP identifies the infrastructure required to support the delivery of the Local Plan.
The IDP (opens in new window) has been updated to take account of changes to and progress with specific development schemes or projects. It deals primarily with public sector-related infrastructure and / or land under public ownership. All sites, including references, correspond to the Local Plan site allocations.
Representations (comments) can be made until 11:59pm on Friday 24 April 2026.
Please do not use this form to raise new site proposals or to revisit objections to parts of the submitted Plan that are not proposed for modification.
