As part of South Tyneside Council’s ongoing commitment to create a safer environment for all highway users, we propose to make an improvement on Ocean Road, South Shields.

As part of South Tyneside Council’s ongoing commitments to create a safer environment for all highway users, it is proposed to make road safety improvements on Ocean Road, South Shields. The aim of the scheme is to create a safe crossing point for pedestrians 24 hours a day through the installation of a Zebra crossing.

The Beacons on the crossing will have Courtesy shields installed due to the proximity of the properties.
