Lizard Lane area, Whitburn - Proposed Traffic Calming Revisions

Overview

The Road Safety team has identified ongoing concerns regarding vehicle speeds on Lizard Lane, particularly near the allotment access south of Highcroft Park.

Multiple reports indicate that drivers are frequently exceeding safe speeds along this section, despite the presence of existing traffic calming measures. To address concerns raised, the team is proposing the removal of two of the existing speed cushions and the installation of a full width hump in their place.

This measure will address traffic speeds along this stretch of road allowing for safe vehicular movements throughout the area.
