Lizard Lane area, Whitburn - Proposed parking restrictions
Overview
The Road Safety Team has been made aware of ongoing safety concerns on Lizard Lane, particularly near the allotment access south of Highcroft Park.
It has been observed that vehicles are frequently parking close to the allotment entrance on the residential side of the road. This often forces northbound traffic especially larger commercial vehicles to move into the opposite lane to pass, increasing road safety risks in the area.
To address this issue, the team is proposing the introduction of ‘No Waiting at Any Time’ restrictions in the form of double yellow lines opposite the allotment access. These restrictions are intended to improve visibility and traffic flow, thereby enhancing safety for all road users.
