Gorse Avenue and Willow Grove, South Shields
Results updated 17 Nov 2023
The consultation exercise for Gorse Avenue and Willow Grove is now closed.
The response rate was 14.95% which equates to six responses from 43 consultees.
Of those six responses it was an even split 50% for and 50% against.
These figures tend to mirror what the earlier parking survey suggested. Which is, that most of the cars in the street belong to residents or their visitors. They tended to be parked from late afternoon until early the next morning.
Our guidelines require a 60% response rate with a majority of 60% in favour before we consider the introduction of a resident parking scheme. As these results fall far below those levels the scheme will not go ahead.
