Overview

South Tyneside Council’s Road Safety Team are proposing to introduce a scheme in your area. The team were made aware of concerns from residents regarding two-way traffic in your streets due to the parking of vehicles either side of the carriageway.

In order to address this, the team are looking to introduce a one-way system, consisting of no entry signage and one way signage. This will alleviate the concerns of head on situations where vehicles are unable to bypass each other due to lack of space.
