Community Governance Review - Consultation on the draft recommendation for creating a new Parish Council in Whitburn

Overview

South Tyneside Council are conducting a Community Governance Review (CGR) of the Whitburn Neighbourhood Area following a request from Whitburn Neighbourhood Forum to consider creating a new parish.

During the first stage of the review, we asked residents, organisations and other interested people for their views about community governance in the area.

We have considered the responses received and other relevant information.

The Council's draft recommendation is to create a new 'Whitburn Parish', with its own parish council.

More information on the review is available on our website at Whitburn Community Governance Review

You can see a map of the proposed parish area and have your say by clicking the 'online consultation form' link below.
