Tree and Woodland Policy Questionnaire

The Council’s Tree and Woodland Policy outlines how trees are managed on Council-owned land, including housing areas. It also explains how decisions are made and how the budget is prioritised.

We are keen on engaging with the general public on this drafted Policy and would request that local residents complete this questionnaire to inform the drafted policy.

Please answer the questions below based on your views on the draft policy.

 

1. The Council should have a Tree and Woodland Policy to manage trees it is responsible for.
2. Do you agree that the draft policy clearly explains how the Council manages trees on land it owns.
3. Do you agree that Tree Work should be prioritised based on safety concerns, ensuring the most dangerous/ high risktrees are dealt with first.
4. Do you agree that The draft Tree and Woodland policy explains how we will prioritise work such as cutting back or removing trees.
5. Do you agree the Council should plant trees in South Tyneside ensuring the right species are planted in the right location.
